Flubenvet 1% is a broad-spectrum wormer that is available in small 60g tubs, convenient for those who have a few domestic chickens, geese or turkeys. The correct amount of Flubenvet can simply be mixed into poultry feed and fed for 7 consecutive days. Flubenvet treats the common species of parasitic poultry worms, including large roundworms, caecal worms, hairworms, gapeworms and gizzard worms, and is effective against all the life stages (eggs, larvae and adults) of these worms. Targeting every stage of the worm lifecycle is important when trying to break the rapid worm lifecycle.
Full mixing instructions are included in the pack as well as a 6g scoop to measure the correct Flubenvet dose for the number of birds being treated.
One 60 g tub of Flubenvet 1% medicated premixture is sufficient to medicate 20 kg of feed, which will treat approximately 20 chickens for the complete treatment (7 consecutive days).
Birds on the ground with known worm infestations are susceptible to re-infestation. In such cases, re-treatment with another 7-day course, after 3 weeks is recommended. All ‘backyard’ flocks should be wormed at least 4 times per year.
There is no withholding period for chickens producing eggs for human consumption when the product is used at the recommended inclusion rate.
Chickens: Eggs – Zero days
Birds must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Treated birds may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 7 days from the last treatment.
Chickens, Turkeys and Geese:Â Meat – 7 days
